🐎Beachy waves and simple glam for this keen horse rider 🐎 She even knew the owner of a horse farm next to my first school in what was back then rural Sydney, a dusky pink one room hall on a hill next to the Nepean river. Only a few weeks before this appointment I stopped there on the way back home after a wedding and had a pat of his racehorses (didn’t know they were that until this client told me) . The owner came up the long drive to check me out and make sure I was not up to mischief and when I explained the hall was my first school he relaxed and said that the horses love a good chat and pat. Look at the baby blues on this doctor! She really reminds me of Kirsten Dunst. ❤️❤️Was such a pleasure to do this bridesmaid (on the right) for @dan.iiee.x wedding last month! It was really a highlight seeing the brides Japanese inspired Instagram account the weekend before taking time off. The photography, the clothing, the makeup - I could not believe at first she is not actually Japanese! The account is so artfully done and one of the better cosplay accounts I have ever seen. The very beautiful Jasmine for her engagement party. Today is World Ozone Day, represented by blue and green. Like Jasmine who came from Afghanistan, my husband Sri thought he did not have to use sunscreen when he first came to Australia over thirty years ago. “I’m brown, I don’t burn”. A black growth on his lip years later convinced him otherwise - luckily it could be burned off. Clients often ask what is the best beauty cream they can use on their skin and almost invariably I say daily application of a high SPF sunscreen in the mornings. #worldozoneday #skincancerawareness #sunscreen

Some lovely photos from a client I had last month. She recently got in touch to ask about my availability to do her hair and makeup for a fundraising event this Wednesday. Unfortunately I wasn’t available this time — I just started my chemotherapy treatment in Gosford today, and thankfully it went well. 🤞I was very happy to recommend two other wonderful artists, @michelhaagcreative and @nedashakori.makeup, both on the platform @withflayr — a company that has been incredibly supportive of me throughout this journey. Thank you, guys! It also feels like a good time to mention a little fundraiser I started a few weeks ago for @chris_obrien_lifehouse. Dr Selvan Pather there was incredibly kind in helping me get seen and diagnosed promptly after the initial news from our GP and coordinating a chemo program with Gosford Private Hospital to be closer to home until surgery. Chris O’Brien Lifehouse is a wonderful organisation doing such important work. This isn’t a personal fundraiser — it’s an official one which was offered as an option by Meta when tagging them in recent story. It’s simply a way of supporting a cause that means a lot to me especially when I learned of Chris’s love of music and saw the center’s dedicated music space for performers. On an earlier visit for diagnostic tests I heard a staff member there playing some Spanish guitar pieces by Tarrega that my dad played often when I was a child and more recently even in the ward rooms of my mum and uncle. Playing my own chill music playlist that I’ve played for clients over the years with many songs @shazam from their own playlists helped so much as well today :) If you’d like to contribute, you can find the link at the top of my profile page.🔝 And finally, thank you so, so much for all the messages of love and light I’ve received this week. Sara for the National Seafood Awards last month - Sara works in marketing from catch to table. I rarely, if ever, post pics of myself on this account but unfortunately this morning was given a very adverse health diagnosis a month before my 50th birthday. I realised I had forgotten to promote a lash business I had promised beforehand to tag on social media when I availed of her discounted services last month and had to cancel an upcoming booking with her for next week. @nushlashandbeauty in Woongarrah did such an awesome job on my lashes last month at a time when I was not quite sure what the hell was going on with me. The lashes lasted the whole month right up until the past few days. Thankyou so much Anushka for your meticulous care and attention to detail in your extremely relaxing home studio - I fell asleep haha! You made me feel much better in a time of extreme confusion.
